Greet customers, write up vehicles for routine maintenance and minor repairs, communicate between technicians and customers, recommend needed services/repairs, build rapport with customer.

Perform multipoint inspections, Communicate additional service/repair needs to service advisors, Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings and shackles, Check tire pressure, Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants, Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil, Add water to radiator and battery, Replace oil and air filters, Inspect all vehicles for additional repairs, Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety standards and codes of conduct, Follow dealership safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt and harsh chemicals
Qualifications:
• Must meet dealerships requirements for employmentÂ
• Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and informationÂ
• Familiarity with all aspects of automotive repair/maintenanceÂ
• Must have a valid driver license and be able to operate manual transmissions • Prior experience as a technicians helper or apprentice preferredÂ
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills Physical Requirements/Working ConditionsÂ
• Occasional exposure to inclement weatherÂ
• Ability to operate an automobileÂ
• Prolonged periods of standing, stooping and bendingÂ
• Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than 10 pounds of force constantly to move objectsÂ
• Requires a significant amount of walking and/or standing. May also require working in the seated position for long periods while operating controls with arms and legs. This position may also require working at a production pace while pushing and/or pulling materials from place to place.

Qualifications; Technician interacts daily with Customers, Service Advisors, other Technicians, Parts Associates, Cashiers, Sales Associates and Managers, just to name a few.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
- Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
- Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair, if authorized by the Customer.
- Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure safety and reliability of Customer vehicles.
- Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
- Maintaining an inventory of normal Technician's tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as "special tools."
- Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate.
- Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty
- Valid in-state driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record
- Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
- Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean.
- Keep shop area neat, clean, and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times.
- Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
